Why do different countries charge different taxes and duties?Updated 2 months ago
Each country sets its own rules and rates for taxation and import duties. We use the actual rates (with a little bit of averaging) to develop a standardized amount that we collect at the time you place your order.
This amount is included in the shipping cost. Unfortunately, we are NOT able to show that total as separate line items. But you can calculate the amount of T&D you’re paying by multiplying the tax rate (for your country) by the total amount of product in your shopping cart.
For example, if the amount of product you're ordering is $100 and your country's tax & Duty rates is 22% than the amount of T&D paid is $22.00.
You can then calculate the actual shipping rate by subtracting the T&D from the total shipping rate charged. For example, if your total shipping rate paid was $42.00 and the T&D was calculated as $22.00, then the carrier charge would be $20. (e.g. $42 - $22 = $20)
